Sayre church of Christ Remodel
2007.
Sayre, Oklahoma.
Demolition Begins
January 1st, 2007

A group of guys were hired to removed the concrete stage and fill in
the old flower beds with concrete.
It took them 3 days to completely removed the stage with jackhammers.

New Design
Flower planters were added to each side to balance out the
offset look. The old white painted bricked baptistery now blends in with the
overall design.
The small blocks of wood were cut, sanded, and nailed in place one block at a
time. This is not a store bought piece of trim.

The window headers received the same treatment. A sheet of tempered glass will
be tinted and set in place over the windows to reduce the glare from the
outside.

Small tables were built on each side of the brick
columns to dress them up.
The white painted brick that
looked like styrofoam was covered up with sheetrock.

Both sides and the back wall of the auditorium
were covered up with sheetrock and crown molding.
New Communion Table And Pulpit
Stained And Lacquered!
The Pew Company Arrived With
All New Pews!
The auditorium will now seat about 400 people.
After all the long hours were added up, my Dad and I had over
600 each to complete this 6,000 square foot auditorium in only 7 weeks!
Construction started on January 1st, 2007 and the first service back in the
remodeled auditorium was on February 18th, 2007.
Everything in the auditorium is brand new. All new carpet, lights, pews, ceiling
tile, and audio equipment.
The following year we were hired back to remodel the rest of the building.
